WhyMyPhone (the "App") is built on one principle: your diagnostic data never leaves your phone by default. This policy explains what we collect — and, more importantly, what we don't.
The App offers three AI analysis paths:
The App requests no sensitive permissions (no location, photos, contacts or microphone). All monitored metrics (thermal state, CPU, memory, disk, battery, screen brightness, network type) come from public iOS system interfaces and require no authorization.
Deleting the App removes all local data (history, health settings, saved AI diagnoses). On our side we store no personal content — only anonymous quota counters that cannot identify you.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personally identifiable information.
We may update this policy; material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this site. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
This website uses Umami to measure page views: no cookies, no personal information, no cross-site tracking — only aggregated, anonymous page-view data (an open-source, privacy-friendly analytics tool). Your in-app diagnostic data is not affected in any way.
After launch, the app sends a single non-identifying count request to our server. It contains only: app version, interface language, iOS major version, and whether Pro is unlocked (yes/no). We use it to see which versions are still in use, so we can decide when to prompt an update and which language to build next.
The request carries no device identifier, no account, and we do not store your IP address; it is aggregated into hourly counts, so no individual can be identified or tracked. You can turn it off anytime in the app's Settings (on by default; turning it off does not affect any feature).
